I created a wiki for my class to use in biology. This is a non major’s biology and part of the assignments is to make a disease diary for each unit. This is a group collaborative project that was done on the discussion board. 

 

I found this site very easy to set up the wiki. The instructions were clear and the wiki was up and running in about fifteen minutes. (What to do with it now that it is created is more problematic.)

 

You can invite members of your class. What was interesting was that you could protect your wiki space and allow only members of your class to join the wiki. A private wiki appeals to me to begin with. You invite the people who are in your wiki and then an email is generated to ask if you want to allow them access.

 

The directions were very clear and I liked the way it edited.
