So, what makes Vizu different from any other polling tool?

  • Well, for one thing, you can specify whether you want access to your poll to be public (anyone can view and take your poll) or private (only those that you allow to see the poll -- like your students -- can take the poll).
  • You have a choice of polling with your username or with "anonymous." In an education setting I'm not sure why/how this would be of value; perhaps if a student wanted to ask a question, but did not wish to be identifiable to the whole class . . . ?
  • You can choose categories and keywords to help people find your poll.
  • LOVE this part -- you have the option to tell Vizu where you want to put the poll (Blogger? WordPress? MySpace? . . . .), and it takes care of everything for you. No copying, no pasting -- ain't life grand?
  • SUPERDUPER BONUS: This is the first of the polling sites I've used where I can actually embed the code here in PBwiki, so that I can show you the "live" poll!!!! Here it is:
